i just lost one of my discus. a pigeon blood that resi named dreamsicle. i have been battling hexamita, worms & flukes for a few weeks. since we went on vacation (boston & vermont) i was unable continue dosing with metradonidazole & praziquantel. before i left i gave dreamy a salt bath and some medicated food, he was looking better, no clamped fins or flicking, and he was actually starting to eat (which he hadnt for a week or so). Resi's mom fed them while i was gone.

so i come home after 7 days and all of my plants are either dead or dying, i have glolites with dropsy (which i found dead also). ALL of my discus are reinfected, along with my octos.
i gave the discus a formalin/malachite green dip yesterday(for flukes)and have been removing all fish that show symptoms of disease.

i did a 40% water change and heavily vaccummed the gravel, cleaned the canisters, pruned & rinsed the plants & medicated the tank. all the while dreamy sits in the bottom corner... anyways he died, it sucks. i'll probably loose them all eventually, in which case i'm going to get rid of all the "background" fish and just keep plants..... for awhle.

The other day i was driving home from work, down the alley behind our house. There is a roller that lives a couple houses down. As i enetered the alley i saw him get in his squad car. I was approaching his driveway and saw his reverse lights kick on and the car start moving backwards. I slammed on my breaks and stopped 2 inches from the douche, then about 5 seconds later he turned and looked at me like it was my fault. Fuck you Barney Fife.. Luckily he backed straight into the driveway behind him, if he had turned while he was in reverse he would have hit me. Stupid hick cop didnt even look.

The stupid BMV screwed up when they gave me my liscense back in march.. the thing is expired already. so we go down to the BMV to get a new sticker and they tell us we dont need one... then after about an hour they tell us someone messed up and gave us an 07 plate. so they gave me an extension and we have to go back to pick the sticker up when it comes in. Mean while my expired plate makes me a moving target.

i bought a 125 gallon aquarium. its 6 feet long. right now i have an array of community fish that i transfered over from my 75. I am tired of keeping big messy cichlids and oddballs so i decided to get fish that wont trash my tank. what i really want to do is get rid of the livebearers and some others and do an amazon biotope with large schools of neons, cardinals, glo lites & black neons. Jerry, one of the fish people at uncle bills keeps trying to convince me to do a reef tank which would be awesome, but i dont have the $ for that.

Yesterday was our 6 year anniversary. we didnt do much, we went out to lunch at some little mexican joint by my work and i had delicious baha fish tacos. Then we walked around the fashion mall briefly (i hated every minute of it) and got some cheese cake at the cheese cake factory.

We watched "better living through circuitry", a documnentary about the rave scene in the 90's. i was actually kind of suprised, i was expected some lame ass 20/20 type thing. It was all about the music. DJ's and producers i hadn't thought about in a long time. For a brief second they even interview the original pornstar Ron D. Core.

i have to drive 50 miles to go to some lame 10 hour class for work. at least i will be on the clock.

The empire has crumbled. 3 out of my 5 bosses have been shipped out. 3 fresh new ones shipped in, only to be drained of their existance and have their souls devoured day by day. One reminds me of Dave, sort of (minus the giant hang-low and industrial sexiness of course). The other one everybody hates. They call him "chicken wing" for obvious reasons. I get along with him fine, and have taken a liking to all 3 of them.

the snow is so bad i got to leave work early... they are probably going to send everyone home early. i shoveled the driveway when i got home, i couldnt get the car in the driveway. it already needs to be reshoveled. Resi gets to come home early too. half the city is closed.
over the weekend we went to some place where they provide the ingrediants to prepare meals, and then take them home to cook at a later time. i felt dumb at first, but then i took charge because everytime i turned around resi had a mouthful of food or was at the damn chocolate fountain. we've only tried 2.. 10 more to go, so far its 1/1.

so today i pissed one of my bosses off. I'm suppossed to be getting paid for mileage everytime i use my car for work purposes, which is basically everyday. 3 miles to the bank round trip @ $0.40 per mile. thats $1.20 a day. it doesnt seem like much but i added it up and i've put 345 miles on my car driving back & forth to the bank, thats 138 bucks.

the reason she is pissed is because i've asked her and other assistant managers if i was suppossed to be getting mileage pay and they told me no. today i called the district office and asked the district secretary.... now i am getting paid for mileage. but they are still trying to screw me out of my back pay. she is pissed because i went over her head, when i am the one that should be pissed for being lied to. anyways when the GM comes back from vacation i am going to ask him about my back pay. money that is OWED to me. bastards.

yesterday i had an interview at guitar center. i basically got the job, but i am not going to take it. they only want full time & only pay minimum wage (5.15!!!). i would have taken it part time just for the discount. oh well.

spent new years weekend at my moms, sisters and finally my dads. had fun at all three places.

Set my fish tank up. 20 bucks on primer & paint for the cabinet. 80 bucks on gravel, $100+ on plants and crap (and its still not enough!), $100+ on a canister filter (thats cheap!) 40 bucks on lightbulbs, 40 bucks on misc. pipes and hoses & chemicals. and i still need another powerhead, a python, more chemicals, more plants, more filter media and fish.


we went out to eat at the hamilton for my birth day.. i had a delicious bacon wrapped pork loin with chipotle honey sauce, chipotle mashed sweet potatoes and some squash or something.


inventory went smooth at work, or at least it seemed like it did as i wasnt a part of it :)

one more day of work & finally a day off.

damnit we went to a petstore by our house and i fell in love with 2 fish tanks. one is a 220 with an oak cabinet stand. but the more realistic one is a 125 with a black cabinet stand. now my 90 just doesnt seem big enough.

resi works for a company that makes products for hardwood floors.... somebody went home early so she had to take the customer service calls... a man called and said he noticed that a certain product is made with lemon oil...he used it to season some fish he was cooking (wtf!)and called to tell them his stomach has been aching. IDIOT!!!!!


I DLed a cracked version of sound forge 8.0. i have a legitimate version of 6.0 and am too poor to upgrade. and just for shits & giggles i also dled acid pro 6.0... i guess i'm going to hell.

our brand new oven has been messing up and flashing some error code.. the manual says kill the power for ten minutes and turn it back on... it takes more like ten hours of no power. just another dick in the ass.

painted my record shelf thing the lighter grey along with a crappy computer desk that will suffice until a new one is purchased. 1 black and chrome shelf with a soon to be black fish tank cabinet stand. the walls are soon to be a middle grey.
